Luckily I didn’t know this hike was so strenuous. We were suppose to do this right as we were heading out to SF. I thought it would be fast and easy, but, boy, I was wrong!

It started as a very nice hike, mellow, with nice flowery meadow and tall mountains in the background. Little did I know that one of those mountain was the one we would summit.

So I started speeding up as I thought there was no need to reserve energy for the end.

Once we started to climb it became apparent that the hike was going up on the tallest peak in the area. It was pretty rocky at the top. We had to scrambled those boulders. I became a bit worried about going down. I have no problem going up but I knew it will take a lot of time to go down. I need to work on that.

It was totally worth it to summit. The views are amazing! You have views on 5 lakes and other peaks in the region.

Overall, I recommend this hike for all fitness level. There were a lot of people on the hike, some were trail running all the way to the top, others were just bathing in the lake. Dogs are also welcomed.
