Hiking Food

Before the hike:

  • Drink tons of water so it lasts for the day. I drink 1L when I wake up.
  • Eat breakfast: I usually go for protein heavy breakfast to keep me going for the day. Here are my go to vegetarian options: 
    •  Smoothy: milk, peanut or almond butter, banana
    • Eggs with cheese 
  • I make coffee for the road. I find that if I don’t drink coffee in the morning I have headaches on the hike.
